These terms are an agreement between you and StateShift, Inc. ("we") for using STATE. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.

STATE is a wellness tool, not medical care

STATE offers breathing and relaxation exercises for general wellbeing. It is not medical, psychological or emergency care, and it doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. If you're in crisis, contact your local emergency number.

Breathing safely

• Do every session sitting or lying down. Never while driving, swimming, in water, or anywhere fainting could hurt you.
• Fast-breathing sessions (Snap Awake and Adrenal Prime) can cause light-headedness or tingling. Skip them if you are pregnant or have epilepsy, a heart condition, high blood pressure, or a history of fainting or panic attacks, unless your doctor says they're fine for you.
• Stop any session if you feel dizzy, unwell or anxious, and breathe normally.
• If you have a medical condition, check with your doctor before starting a new breathing practice.

Your account

Keep your password private and use an email you can access. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 (16 in the EU and UK) to use STATE.

Free sessions, trials and subscriptions

• You can try 2 sessions for free.
• STATE Pro starts with a 3-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription ($4.99 a month or $29 a year, plus any applicable tax) that renews automatically until you cancel.
• Cancel anytime from "Manage subscription" in your account menu. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, but if something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right.
• If we change prices, we'll tell you in advance and the change will apply from your next billing period.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse STATE: no attempts to break, reverse-engineer or overload it, and no reselling or copying its content.

Our content

The app, sessions, scripts, sounds, design and the STATE name and logo belong to StateShift, Inc. You may use them for your own personal use.

Liability

STATE is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; we'll update the date above and notify members of significant changes. You can stop using STATE and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
